Always-On Data Encryption

All user data on an IronKey is encrypted with high-speed military-grade hardware encryption. Unlike software-based encryption, this "always-on" protection cannot be disabled and is protected against cold-boot and brute force attacks. If a thief tries to break into an IronKey and exceeds a policy-determined number of failed login attempts, the IronKey Cryptochip will lock out the encryption functions and securely erase all the encrypted data with patent-pending Flash Trash technology.

Portable Identity Protection and Strong Authentication

IronKey Enterprise devices have a full public key encryption capability, which enables them to be managed securely and remotely. IronKey Enterprise also supports One-Time Password technology, providing a convenient and cost effective platform for deploying RSA SecurID.

SILVER BULLET SERVICE: PROTECTION AGAINST MALICIOUS USERS

IronKey's new Silver Bullet Service will confirm that IronKey devices are authorized and in good standing before allowing them to be unlocked. This real-time service allows Administrators to completely disable and even remotely detonate devices, extending the control needed to protect important data. It also supports users who are not always online by allowing a predetermined number of unlock attempts before disabling the device. The presence and configuration of this feature is determined via policy.
