Telenetics Pony Express Analog Modem Modules
Telenetics Pony Express (PE) modem modules are available for both dial and leased line applications, including all standards
from Bell202T (1200 bps) to V.32bis (14.4 kbps). Other modules include an RS232/485 convertor.
A Pony Express module is a part of every Raymar-Telenetics MIU standalone and rack mount product.
These modules are also available to OEM’s for integration into meters,
controllers, RTU’s, etc.
LOW POWER OPERATING MODES
Dial modems can be configured to fall into a “sleep mode”, or to completely power down at times of inactivity. In “sleep mode” the inactive modem will draw less than 10mA and will instantly “wake up” on an incoming ring (RI) or transmit data (TxD) signal. In the power down mode, the current drain drops to 20uA and the modem will automatically turn on to full power within 400ms of receiving a DTR signal or an incoming call.
AUTO RESET FEATURE
If a dial modem loses its configuration for any reason, the configuration is automatically restored by dialing the modem and allowing it to ring several times.
AUTO DIAL FEATURE
Most dial modems have the ability to automatically dial out to a stored number in the event of an alarm condition.
